Learner Outcomes

This simulated clinical experience workshop will allow students in the joint Michener / Mohawk Medical Laboratory Assistant / Technician Program to apply the practical skills and theory that were studied in the prerequisite courses (including CLLT140).

Note:

Students must complete HLTH10223 – Preplacement/Clinical Service Course before enrolling to CLLT151

*Some of the immunization required forms/reports may take up to 7 months to prepare. Please begin to collect the required paperwork as soon as possible.

Students must attend all 8 days mentioned below from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Due to high demand, transfers will only be considered up to two weeks prior to the start date.

Module 1 (Phlebotomy): Saturday, April 13 – Sunday, April 14
Module 2 (Chemistry and Hematology): Saturday, April 20 – Sunday, April 21
Module 3 (Cytology and Histology): Saturday, May 4 – Sunday, May 5
Module 4 (Microbiology): Saturday, May 11 – Sunday, May 12
