Duties

DSM is recruiting for the permanent full-time position of General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist for DSM’s Laboratory at Thompson Hospital.

Under the general supervision of the Charge Technologist, the incumbent is responsible for performing routine and complex tests in Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology using the equipment and instruments provided, according to established procedure.

Requirements

Interested applicants must be graduates of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology education program and be eligible for or certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS). Applicants must also be eligible for licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM). Previous related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Days/Evenings including Weekends and On Call; 38.75 hours weekly; 7.75-hour shifts

Salary

$28.299 - $35.501 per hour, as per MAHCP contract
