Radiation Therapists are integral members of the Radiation Medicine Program and play a key role in the provision of Radiation Therapy. Radiation therapists may participate in one or more of a range of activities, which together encompass the full extent of their professional training. Activities may include but not be limited to treatment planning, treatment delivery, patient care, patient immobilization and positioning, performing treatment calculations, imaging, quality assurance and research. All radiation therapists are expected to contribute to teaching/training: patients and families, students, peers; contribution will be greater in key areas of individual’s expertise. Radiation therapists are required to practice in accordance with provincial professional standards of practice and legislated regulations. Contribution to a high standard of care will be measured through knowledge and utilization of departmental protocols and professional standards of practice. Radiation Therapists will work on one of 4 super teams and are expected to contribute to the successful functioning of the team, to ensure safe, timely and accurate radiation therapy of patients.
• Graduate of recognized Radiation Therapy Training Program
• Current registration with CMRTO
• Current CPR certification
• Authorized nuclear energy worker
• Excellent interpersonal skills: functions as a team member; communicates effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing; listens actively; empathetic
• Good computer skills
• Good time management and problem solving skills
• Demonstrates core values of UHN in the execution of their duties, including, patient-centred care and diversity
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct

$32.42- $44.51 per hour (Start rate: $32.42 per hour in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
