Client care is performed exclusively by regulated health professionals and is tailored to individual needs.We are a registered vendor for the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Assistive Devices Program (ADP) and Home Oxygen Program (HOP). These government programs provide funding of specific respiratory equipment for those who fulfill the criteria set out by the Ministry of Health. When you apply for funding through the Ministry of Health or any other third party agency, we will assist with completing and submitting the necessary paperwork.It is very important to us that we provide the highest possible level of care and service to our clients, referral sources and partners. In addition to our own continuous quality improvement program, we seek outside assessment of our organization through Accreditation Canada.
As a Health Care Professional with ProResp you are responsible for assuming a primary role in providing clinical respiratory services to community patients in the geographic area assigned. Your clinical experience and first-rate assessment skills enable you to offer excellent client care. As a team member, you will play an integral part in continuing the success of community respiratory care and CPAP therapy.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Some flexibility in hours will be required to meet business needs. On-call hours are in addition to your regular weekly hours. It is a requirement of this role to participate in the shared rotational on-call schedule
Preferred skills and abilities:
• Three years of health care experience with demonstrated clinical skills and a marketing orientation
• Enthusiasm for providing exceptional patient care, customer service
• Be able to work independently, have strong organizational and excellent communication skills
• Have the desire to be part of a team environment
• Have excellent multi-tasking capabilities; ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Essential Business Needs: Candidates must have a valid certificate with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario. Candidates must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, in good standing (G full privilege license of at least 3 years required, at minimum). The chosen candidate must provide an original vulnerable sector police records check.
Education: Graduate of a recognized 3-year Respiratory Therapy program.
Language Requirements: Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.
Physical demands: Walking, sitting, standing, driving, stair climbing and lifting (able to lift, push and pull 40 lbs.)
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Gloves, gowns and masks.
