The Respiratory Therapy Technician I is an important member of the
interdisciplinary team and performs routine equipment assembly and distributes equipment and supplies to clinical areas.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Stocking supplies in the Operating Room
Transporting equipment to areas of need in the hospital
Maintaining adequate stock of respiratory and anesthesia
supplies/equipment in clinical area
Cleaning respiratory and anesthesia equipment
Performing other position related duties as assigned
Diploma in Respiratory Therapy Program in progress
Related experience in a health care setting (preferred)
Standard First Aid/ Basic Rescuer Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
(C.P.R.) certification an asset
Proven computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel
Proficient ability to communicate and read using English in order to effectively perform essential requirements of this position
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment and collaborate as an active participant with others in assisting with the delivery of care to patients
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication and clinical skills
Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
