The Radiation Therapy Department at the Western MB Cancer Centre provides radiation therapy for cancer patients and education of radiation therapy students. The Senior Radiation Therapist (SRT) supervises and serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making and in the clinical assessments of clients. The SRT reviews, analyses and makes recommendations in the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures and standards of care within a continuous quality improvement environment. The SRT plans and provides staff and student education as consistent with the mission, values and policies of CCMB.
The SRT is under the supervision of the Clinical Resource Radiation Therapist. The assignment for the incumbent will be assigned to all areas; treatment delivery, simulation and planning with the primary rotation in simulation and planning.
Current Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) registration.
Certificate for CPR-BLS, HCP-Level C.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in treatment delivery, simulation and treatment planning.

Senior or supervisory position held within the last 8 years.
Adult Education or Health Care Management Certificate.
Advanced credential CTRT, CMD and/or CDC.
Experience with ARIA RO and Varian Linear Accelerators.
Bachelor of (Radiation) Science, Health Science Degree.
Advanced credential eg. CTRT , CMD, CDC or CAMRT full length courses or other RT related courses.
Professional awards or honors.
Personal suitability as demonstrated through a professional portfolio e.g. Demonstrated ability to develop and complete an independent project in a timely manner.
Type of Job
Work schedule: The incumbent must be available to work 0600 - 1800.
Salary: As per MAHCP Collective Agreement
