DSM is recruiting for the permanent, full-time position of Senior Sonographer for DSM’s Ultrasound Department at Dauphin Regional Health Centre.
Reporting to the Charge Medical Technologist, the incumbent is responsible for performing all functions related to ultrasound scanning of patients, including obstetrical, gynecological, pelvic, abdominal, body small parts and vascular scans. The incumbent performs direct patient care and technological, administrative and operational support functions. The employee may be required to work approved overtime.
Interested applicants must be graduates of an approved Ultrasonography education program, be eligible for or certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in all general duty scanning, and active registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS). Previous related experience is preferred. A minimum of one year post-graduate experience is required.
A valid driver’s license may be a condition of employment for this position, as determined at the sole discretion of the Employer.
Days; 38.75 hours weekly; 7.75 hour shifts
$34.634 - $40.151 per hour, as per MGEU contract
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (Including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained not more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
