Our goal is to provide care and services to our patients at a ‘one-stop’ aspect. Duties
• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Greets the patient, explains the forthcoming test, positions the patient and generally prepares him/her for the examination.
• Obtain medical health history, observes the patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summons medical aid when necessary
• Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required.
• Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Operate diagnostic imaging Ultrasound machines
• Follows procedure for proper equipment cleaning and maintenance are completed i accordances with farcicality standards
• Perform Safety and sanitary procedures after each test on the equipment
• Maintain adequate supplies
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Candidates must be current members of CMRITO
• Ability to perform all types of general ultrasound examinations on various types of ultrasound equipment i.e. ABDOMEN, PELVIC, TV, BREAST, THYROID & OBSTETRICS early and late.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
• 1-2 years of related experience
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training
• Demonstrate effective decision making skills and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
