Residence Information

Residence life at The Michener Institute is fun, safe and convenient. Many students choose residence for a number of reasons. You immediately have a network of classmates to work on assignments or study with; you are in the same building as your classes, library and computer labs, and you are walking distance to the downtown amenities. In addition, you are not locked into a 12 month lease like you would be at most apartments. At Michener, our residence population tends to be a mature group of students (more closely related to grad housing) that value both their residence experience and their education.

The Schatz Hall residence is organized to help students achieve their education in a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment. We believe that residence is much more than simply a place to live;but also an opportunity to experience a diverse community with people from every region of the world. This can help students prepare for success in our increasingly interconnected world.

Residence life provides a terrific opportunity to meet friends and study-mates. We hire Residence Dons (senior Michener students) to live on each floor and assist with all aspects of residence life such as providing personal and/or academic support, organizing floor activities and working with the Manager of the Student Success Network to make your time with us the best experience possible!

We hope that you consider living in residence.  Read on, and please contact the residence staff at residence@michener.ca or 416-596-3141 (1-800-387-9066 ext 3141) if you have any questions.
