A keynote address will discuss a critical issue and their perspectives on health professions education. This will be followed by a question and answer period to engage participants in discussion with the speaker.
These 2 hour sessions are intended to actively engage participants in the learning process. Workshops provide a collaborative and active learning environment for participants, who should leave with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they can apply in their own environment and practice.
Lightning Talks & Campfire Discussions
These short presentations are followed by “campfire” round-table discussions. The presentations are intended to creatively engage and showcase information that would otherwise be done in a traditional conference or poster presentation.
There will be multiple speakers with each presentation being 5 minutes in duration. Speakers will include learners, clinicians and researchers who will present information rapidly and in an engaging manner. Campfire discussions will take place at round tables for each speaker. Speakers will have a chance to engage their audience in a discussion following the lightning talks.
A conversation on a critical topic in health professions education will be discussed by leaders in the space, who will share key ideas, perceptions and reflections pertaining to the chosen topic. Additional details on the topic, moderator and discussants will be revealed soon!
