Diabetes Educator Specialty Courses

These advanced level Specialty Courses are designed for practicing health care professionals. Each draws on the expertise of our globally recognized Diabetes Educator Graduate Certificate Program, which is the first of its kind to achieve recognition from the International Diabetes Federation.

Whether you are looking to enhance your professional practice or refresh your knowledge and skills, our Diabetes Educator Specialty Courses provide a focused and supportive learning environment.  You will have the opportunity to communicate with fellow students and benefit from the knowledge and guidance of your tutors, all of whom are experienced Certified Diabetes Educators.

These courses may be taken independent of the Graduate Certificate program. All are delivered online for your convenience. Please note that DE804: Diabetes Management in the Elderly also includes a two day live workshop held onsite at The Michener Institute.

For those who have already earned CDE designation, the Michener Diabetes Educator Certificate Program and/or the Diabetes Specialty Courses qualify for CDE Certification Maintenance Credits.
