Governor General’s Academic Medal (Collegiate Bronze)

The Governor General’s Academic Medals have recognized the outstanding scholastic achievements of students across Canada for more than 125 years. This award was established to celebrate the exceptional achievements of students, and will be awarded commending in 2019 to the Advanced Diploma program student who received the highest overall average in their graduating year at Michener.

The Medal will be presented on behalf of the Governor General, along with a signed certificate. There is no monetary value associated with the Medal. Past recipients include Pierre Trudeau, Tommy Douglas, Kim Campbell, Robert Bourassa, Robert Stanfield and Gabrielle Roy.

Note: Students may only win this award once in their lifetime

Criteria 1: Achieved the highest GPA (cumulative) upon graduation from a Michener Full-Time Advanced Diploma program
