Performing echocardiograms on adult patients in a lab/office setting. Professionalism, time management, ability to follow policies and procedures are a must. Responsible for writing up preliminary report and regular cleaning of machine along with maintenance checks.
Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, memberships, courses, etc.):
CRCS - Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification, Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration
Area of Specialization:
Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images, Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, Record and store suitable images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment, Observe and care for patients throughout examinations, Prepare examination reports for physicians, Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation
