A Permanent Part-Time Cardiac Medical Sonographer opportunity is currently available with the Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC; a family-friendly community with a unique combination of urban amenities and stunning natural surroundings. The Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a 140 acute care bed hospital and is responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area. As a Cardiac Medical Sonographer you will be rotating through Day and Evening shifts Monday to Friday, but not have to work weekends or take on-call. Our machines are the Philip Epic 7C. We do a variety of tests from Stress Echo, Contrast Echo, Bubble Studies, to Dopler tests and Transesophageal Echo.
• Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada (formerly CARDUP) as required for the assigned practice area (i.e. Cardiac or Generalist and Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as Cardiac).
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
