With more than 30 years of experience, BioPed has become the standard of excellence in alleviating foot and lower limb related discomfort. Today, we operate more than 75 full-service and satellite clinics in British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Ontario. Our full-service clinics offer the Chiropodist and their patients the benefit of an on-site laboratory for orthotic fabrication and modifications. BioPed employs both Pedorthists and Chiropodists, who work together in synergy for the benefit of the patient.
Duties include the assessment and treatment of foot conditions; including, but not limited to, diabetic foot care, nail care, biomechanical assessments, custom orthotic casting and dispensing, wound care, measuring for and dispensing compression stockings, procedures such as PNA/TNA/soft tissue lesion excisions, the provision of foot care products and footwear. The Chiropodist is expected to work well in a team environment and must be willing to learn. We are happy to provide further education on compression, procedures or orthotic fabrication if desired.
