Dynacare has an exciting opening for a gregarious MLT currently practicing within a medical laboratory in a technical department or in a quality assurance capacity.

The successful candidate for the position of Corporate Quality Auditor thrives on travel, finds ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements stimulating, and flourishes when meeting new people. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity of encouraging staff in laboratory departments and specimen collection centres across Canada to embrace quality and understand compliance to regulatory requirements.

The Corporate Quality Auditor coordinates, implements, conducts, supports, and/or oversees the various Quality Assurance programs, policies, procedures, and audits to assure accreditation and promote an environment of excellence. The Corporate Quality Auditor manages Quality Assurance concerns, reporting any unresolved issues to the Manager, Corporate Quality and Compliance.


Coordinates the Corporate Quality Assurance Audit program for Dynacare. Audit sites currently stretch across five provinces and includes multiple main laboratory facilities, Stat laboratories, specimen collection centres, mobile services, specialized laboratories and departments, and other lines of business.
Executes comprehensive regulatory, privacy, client, and vendor qualification audits.
Detects and classifies nonconformities against multiple regulatory bodies’ requirements and requirements of standards. Identifies recommendations that would improve quality and/or processes within Dynacare.
Prepares site-specific audit reports and electronically records nonconformities to ensure compliance and facilitation of continuous quality improvement within departments and lines of business.
Evaluates multi-site audit findings and creates both in-depth and executive-style audit summary reports and summary statistical reports for presentation to the Manager, Corporate Quality and Compliance.
Participates in accreditation and inspection processes from regulatory agencies and licencing bodies as required.
Evaluates responses to audit nonconformities, quality events, complaints, and deviations. Performs follow-up with respondents, management, and others as required, to ensure resolution and efficacy.
Assists in the development, implementation and review of control mechanisms and processes to ensure compliance.
Provides training in regulatory compliance and Corporate Quality programs.
Completes special projects as required by Dynacare.

This position requires 50% travel time within Canada, and spans five provinces (Quebec to Alberta). Due to the location of the sites being audited and their position in relation to Brampton and the GTA, the auditor will routinely experience travel times covering a period ranging from one day to one week, and occasionally up to two weeks.
The successful candidate requires a reliable mode of transportation.



CMLTO Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (practicing) is required.
A minimum of 3 years progressive hands-on MLT work experience in the technical departments of a diagnostic medical laboratory is required.
Evidence of educational competency for the position of Quality Auditor is required, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor is preferred.
Auditing experience within the technical departments of a medical laboratory is preferred.
Familiarity with IQMH and CAP requirements is preferred. Knowledge of laboratory standards, regulations, and guidelines (for example but not limited to: ISO, MANQAP, BNQ/LSPQ, MSSS, CLSI) is an asset.
French language proficiency is an asset.
Bachelor of Science is an asset.
Lean Six Sigma certified (Greenbelt) is an asset.
Full proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Aptitude to drive tasks to closure.
Maturity in laboratory processes enabling the auditor to identify opportunities for process improvement and promote recommendations.
Proven superior written communication skills, with the ability to craft creative presentations and clear, concise reports.
Detail oriented with the flexibility to audit using different techniques as appropriate with the goal of completing comprehensive audits.
Familiarity with gap and risk analyses is preferred.
Strong oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Outgoing in nature with the desire and ability to create a cheerful, relaxed environment for auditees.
Enjoys working within a team environment as well as independently.
