Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking a Cytology Technologist 2 to join the cohesive and diverse laboratory team at the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) in Kamloops, B.C. Days of work may be Mondays to Fridays, day shifts from 07:00-15:00 and 08:00-16:00 on a casual as needed basis.

Cytotechnologists at this site work in team-based environments and perform a variety of duties within the Laboratory related to established cytology procedures. This is a hands-on and varied role which may include attending FNA fine needle aspiration clinics, managing files of tissues and slides, assisting with quality assurance and working in the Histology section of the Lab.

Graduate of a Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science approved Cytology program plus two years’ recent, related Cytology experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS)
