Join Our Team in Yellowknife for the opportunity to be our next Medical Laboratory Technologist -Microbiology!
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist – Microbiology, you’ll be part of a collaborative team at Stanton Territorial Hospital, performing critical diagnostic testing in Microbiology, Mycobacteriology, and Environmental Bacteriology.
You’ll work under the guidance of a Technical Supervisor and contribute to over 15,000 samples processed monthly, supporting regional health centers, public health offices, and northern industries.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $96,876 – $115,733
Paid Benefits: $23,700 – $24,900 in paid benefits in year 1!
Defined Benefit Pension Plan, comprehensive health and dental benefit plan.
Paid relocation, including 10 – 21 days of paid accommodations.
Northern tax deductions $11 – $22/daily
Deferred salary, take 80 – 90% of salary for 6 – 12 months of paid leave.
Up to $50k is available to support long-term education goals through professional development programs.
Key Qualifications and Skills – New Grad Friendly!
· A recognized Medical Laboratory Technology Program at minimum of a diploma or degree level from an accredited Canadian Post-Secondary Institution.
· New graduates waiting to write their certification examination will be considered; however, registration must be achieved prior to beginning employment with Laboratory Services.
· Candidates must be certified as a Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist in Canada and be a member in good standing with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
