About the Role
We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team. In this role, you will be an integral member of the radiation treatment program, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while working collaboratively with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and the interprofessional care team.

The successful candidate will work across the full scope of radiation therapy practice, including treatment planning, treatment delivery, patient positioning and immobilization, imaging, quality assurance, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and departmental protocols. This includes assisting with treatment planning, performing accurate dose calculations, and ensuring safe and precise treatment delivery.

The role involves providing patient care, education, and support throughout the course of treatment, performing imaging and treatment verification, completing quality assurance activities, and maintaining accurate documentation. Radiation Therapists also contribute to teaching, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives within the program.

Qualifications
Applicants must be graduates of an accredited Radiation Therapy program and hold CAMRT certification. Registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) is required. CPR certification is mandatory.

Strong communication skills, excellent patient care abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment are essential. Experience with Radiation Therapy electronic medical records (ARIA), treatment planning systems, and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) is preferred.

A satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector screening are required.
