Position Overview
Performs a variety of technical procedures in CT and radiography that will require a certain amount of independent judgment. May be involved in some teaching of students in the practical aspect of Radiography and CT.
Education
– Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of
Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent
– Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario(C.M.R.T.O.)
– Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy
preferred
Experience
– Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience in the last three years preferred
– Minimum 2 years helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner) Preferred
– Interventional Radiology and CT procedure experience strongly preferred.
– Demonstrated ability to function in a professional and courteous manner
– Demonstrated organizational skills
– Demonstrated ability to take initiative within scope of responsibility
– Must be available to work evenings, on-call & statutory holidays
– Good work and attendance record required
