Mobile Lab Assistant – Temporary Part Time Regular or Temporary Full Time – Toronto






The Contract Mobile Lab Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient collection of customer specimens (including nasal swabs for COVID- 19 screening) primarily at external places of business. This role is primarily remote with some onsite requirement within Toronto. In this role, you will require access to hi-speed internet with a bandwidth of 100MB or more - If you don't know what your download and upload speeds are, you can take a speed test online at or type "test internet speed” into your internet browser

**Successful candidates MUST have a valid drivers license with access to a vehicle as a mandatory requirement for this role**

Key Responsibilities
• Ensures a safe, comfortable, efficient and personalized experience with specimen collection
• Reviews all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate and engages customer privately to verify information
• Prepares specimens and packages accurately for transport per assigned procedures and protocols
• Keeps work area well organized and maintains a professional work environment
• Prioritizes safety by demonstrating appropriate infection control, equipment maintenance and quality control, etc. per assigned procedures and protocols
• Ensures high quality assurance and regulatory compliance by abiding with assigned procedures and protocols
• Represents LifeLabs in a professional and positive manner
• Performs other duties as required


Minimum Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent, including post-secondary science or medical terminology
• Successful completion of a health care related program or equivalent experience is preferred
• Students currently enrolled in a health care or science program are encouraged to apply

• 2 years in a health care environment is an asset
• Must have valid Ontario Driver's License, clean driving record and access to a vehicle

Working Environment: Frequent changes from indoor to outdoor and time spent driving
