Rexdale Community Health Centre (RCHC) is seeking a Chiropodist to join our Inter-professional Primary Care Team (IPCT). This is a meaningful clinical role where you work one-to-one with each client, supporting individuals with complex foot and lower-limb conditions — including seniors with diabetes and people facing barriers such as homelessness or limited access to care.

About the Role
You will provide assessment, treatment, education, and prevention strategies to help clients manage acute and chronic foot conditions, reduce risks such as infection or amputation, and maintain mobility and independence. Care is delivered one client at a time, allowing for meaningful connection, education, and advocacy.
This role includes working across RCHC and partner locations, including services for vulnerable and marginalized populations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and client education in accordance with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario standards
Provide routine and specialized foot and lower-limb care
Design, manufacture, and follow up on orthotics as therapeutic and palliative treatments
Maintain accurate medical records and participate in chart reviews
Support clinic operations including inventory and equipment maintenance
Participate in program development and quality-improvement initiatives
Collaborate within an interdisciplinary care team
Contribute to community-based health promotion activities
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited School of Chiropody
Current registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (no restrictions)
Strong knowledge of chiropody theory and practice, including orthotics
Experience in community health or hospital settings (3+ years preferred)
Excellent teamwork, assessment, and communication skills
Proficiency in EMR and clinical documentation (PSS an asset)
Demonstrated commitment to culturally-safe, equitable care
Assets (Not Required):
Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations
Additional languages (e.g., French, Somali, Twi, Yoruba, Igbo, etc.)
Knowledge of the Rexdale community
Availability for occasional evenings or Saturdays
Compensation & Employment Details
$68,345 – $82,340 annually (based on experience)
HOOPP + extended health & dental and generous Vacation and time off
Start Date: ASAP
Status: Non-unionized
Hours per week: 35 hours
