Smoking Cessation Coordinator

The primary responsibilities of the Smoking Cessation Coordinator include planning, designing, managing, implementing and coordinating smoking cessation activities across all UHN sites. The role will be a central resource for the organization on smoking cessation activity and will be involved in extensive stakeholder engagement. Experience in implementing clinical change in a complex medical environment is core to this role.
Completion of a bachelors degree in a health-related discipline or recognized equivalent
Three (3) to Four (4) years practical and related experience
Experience in implementing clinical change in a complex medical environment
Experience working with multiple levels of hospital management and operations to introduce new or improvement initiatives
Clinical understanding of issues related to smoking cessation as well as from a population health perspective
Experience in implementing clinical change in a complex medical environment is core to this role.
Excellent communication skills along with demonstrated ability to write/edit high profile corporate communications
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and be successful in a complex/ambiguous and fast-paced environment
Proven ability to problem solve
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
Exercise initiative and good judgement with ability to multi-task
Compliance with confidentiality requirements
Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies
Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate the at people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
