Canada Diagnostic Centres (CDC) is a multi-modality diagnostic imaging provider committed to delivering Exceptional Patient Care in the medical imaging field. Since 1993, CDC has been providing patients and health care professionals with advanced diagnostic imaging of the body’s most important organs and systems. CDC offers MRI, CT, Ultrasound 2D/3D and 4D real-time, Mammography, Pain Management, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, X-Ray and Kids Imaging services across 16 community clinics in Calgary, Edmonton, Okotoks and Sherwood Park.
•Communicate effectively with the patient and the health care team, recognizing the patient's needs.
•Effectively operate sonographic equipment, and evaluate sonograms to acquire appropriate diagnostic information.
•Adapt each examination to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, patient history and medical records.
•Use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic information in each examination performed.
•Participate in the maintenance of accreditation.
•Train student sonographers and completes evaluation of students.
•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.
•Ability to follow established departmental procedures.
•A successful graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
•Current registration with Sonography Canada. New grads must be Sonography Canada eligible, with liability insurance.
•Candidates with breast, biopsy and/or MSK experience are preferred. Training will be provided upon hire.
