Position Summary

We are currently seeking Sonographers to join the Medical Imaging team at Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH) in Revelstoke, British Columbia.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. What Will You Work On?
The Medical Imaging department houses 1 Ultrasound room and services offered include general Ultrasonography. Sonographers work with the Philips Epiq unit that was purchased in 2015. Our team works closely with off-site Radiologists through teleradiography. Revelstoke is a vibrant community with many young families and outdoor enthusiasts; therefore obstetrics and MSK ultrasound make up a routine portion of our work.

Successful applicants to this position will have tailored department and hospital orientation. Opportunities for additional training in MSK and breast ultrasounds may be available.

Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a team player with great patient care and excellent communication skills. The successful applicant needs to be flexible as the environment is ever changing.



• Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular).
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
