Interior Health is seeking an experienced Computed Tomography/Interventional Radiology Technologist to join Royal Inland Hospital’s (RIH) Medical Imaging Department. Located in beautiful Kamloops’ BC, RIH is a Tertiary Hospital providing high-level, specialty medical care.
Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), and/or interventional, as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedure, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees.
RIH’s Medical Imaging Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position’s schedule is rotating and shift times are day and evening shifts. This is a relief (temporary) full-time position until approximately spring 2023 or the return of the current incumbent. • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program plus successful completion of a recognized program such as Computer Tomography to the designated specialty area.
• Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
