Duties
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a skilled Team Lead for our Ultrasound department. As the working supervisor of the Ultrasound team, the technologist will perform diagnostic medical sonography exams. The technologist must be patient-focused and capable of performing high quality sonography procedures independently and proficiently, in accordance with CMRITO and Sonography Canada Standards of Practice and GRC protocols.
The successful candidate will directly manage the sonography team, coordinate the Ultrasound operations, and help grow and lead the expansion of the Ultrasound department.
Currently the position would manage a sonography team of 28.
Relocation assistance may be available.
Requirements
• Active registration with the CMRITO in sonography required.
• Registration with Sonography Canada required.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in sonography preferred.
• Active Professional Liability Insurance.
• Capable leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism in interpersonal relations.
• Evidence of strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize; work under pressure and show flexibility.
• Must have strong independent decision-making skills with a high level of initiative.
• Discretion and maturity in handling confidential matters.
• Demonstrated computer knowledge, and proficiency with PACS.
