Radiation Therapist

JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiation Therapist assumes responsibility for administering radiation treatment in accordance with Radiation Oncologist, prescription, departmental policy and procedures/standards of care. Calculate basic prescription calculations and check calculations done by others, including preparation of and documentation in the treatment record. Maintain treatment record throughout a course of radiation therapy. Respond to patient condition and patient care needs including comprehensive patient education. Maintain goals, policies and standards of performance according to policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current experience in all aspects of Radiation Therapy
• Ability to communicate clearly and respond to needs of others
• Ability to function as a team member
• Ability to communicate in the French Language would be an asset

EDUCATION:

• Graduate from an approved School of Radiation Therapy
• Registration with the CMRITO
• Current CPR registration required
