Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Present for work and be prepared to begin x-rays at your scheduled start time
• Perform x-rays on a walk-in basis
• Introduce yourself to the patient
• Make sure that the correct patient is being imaged; minimum 2 patient identifiers
• Inquire if this is a comparison study and acquire previous report if imaged outside of PPI
• Explain the procedure to the patient and provide instructions when the patient is required to change
• Provide a safe and private environment for the patient
• Be professional at all times; refrain from engaging in personal discussions during their clinical procedure.
• Consult the radiologist whenever necessary. MUST acquire confirmation from Radiologist to support a verbal pertaining to True STAT case where patient management is required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy room
• Keep detailed maintenance of service requirements in the exam room log book
• Maintain CME education as per CAMRT guidelines
Qualifications, Skills and Relevant Experience:
• Full competency to x-ray independently in a fast-paced work environment
• CMRTO, CAMRT and OAMRS certification
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all members of your health care team
• Superior organization and time management skills
• Strong computer knowledge
