X-Ray Technologist – Full time
-Is responsible for processing the patient and ensuring that all pertinent information is documented on the requisition.
-In conjunction with other staff, is responsible for processing patient files, ensuring that the radiologist has all the necessary previous films before interpretation of the case.
-Is responsible for ensuring that the proper views are obtained and the patient history is complete for interpretation of the case.
-Is responsible for ensuring that the patient exams are carried out in a manner, which ensures that the patient’s welfare and privacy is respected.
-Is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the x-ray equipment and the x-ray room.
-Maintain and adjust to staffing rotation pattern as directed by the supervisor or delegate.
-Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor for the smooth, effective functioning of the entire department and facility.
-Having a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as independently.
-Maintain competence by attending staff meetings.
-Establishing personal objectives to further growth in the profession.
-Maintain provincial certification with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario as well as proof of Professional Liability Insurance. Update the documentation in your file as necessary.
-Maintain current CPR certificate.
-Is responsible for maintaining the continuing medical educational requirements as outlined by the CAMRT or provincial equivalent.
