The Research Institute for Health Care Education is currently accepting applications for membership in the following categories:

Scientist

Scientists are active leaders in health professions education research with a current staff and/or research appointment at University Health Network.  An RIHE Scientist must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to health professions education, must have the majority of their time protected for research, and must have a strong record of publication and funding in education research. Scientists appointed to the RIHE will be eligible for Principal Investigator Status at UHN.

Adjunct Scientist

Adjunct Scientists are active leaders in health professions education research with a current staff and/or research appointment at TAHSN hospital or a faculty appointment at The University of Toronto.

An RIHE Adjunct Scientist must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to health professions education, must have the majority of their time protected for research, and must have a strong record of publication and funding in education research. Adjunct Scientists appointed to the RIHE will be eligible Principal Investigator Status at UHN.

Education Investigator

Education Investigators are health professionals who are actively engaged in education research with a clinical appointment at University Health Network. An RIHE Education Investigator must have a health professional degree and a strong record of publication and funding in education research.  Education Investigators appointed to the RIHE will be eligible for Principal Investigator Status at UHN.

RIHE Academy Scholar

Membership in the RIHE Academy of Scholars is open to faculty at the Michener Institute and educators affiliated with our clinical partners.  RIHE Scholars have demonstrated a commitment to education in the health professions through a strong track record of teaching and/or scholarship. RIHE Scholars will have access to professional development opportunities and community events offered through the UHN.

RIHE Research Trainee

Membership in the RIHE Academy of Research Trainees is open to students at the Michener Institute and research trainees at UHN.  An RIHE must express interest and demonstrate commitment to education research and/or scholarship. RIHE Research Trainees will have access to education/training opportunities and community events offered through the UHN.
