The 2026 Convocation Ceremonies will celebrate graduates who completed their program of study after June 2025.

Academic Requirements to Graduate
To graduate, you must have:
- successfully completed all courses in the approved program curriculum meeting academic standards that ensure the validity and quality of the awarded credential.
- a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0, although higher graduating GPAs may be stipulated.
The Registrar’s Office is responsible for auditing each student’s academic record and will mark student records as complete upon evaluation of the student having completed all program requirements with the appropriate program cumulative GPA. Program completion will be noted on Official Transcripts.
Administrative Graduation Requirements
Students must be in good standing with the Institute to graduate and will not be permitted to graduate with outstanding fees or other debts to Michener.
Name on Credentials
The name printed on your transcript and credential, and in the convocation program, is the current legal name as it appears on your Self-Service account. Please check Self Service to confirm the name we have on file is correct.
To change your name, please complete and submit the Change of Personal Information Form accompanied by one of the following five supporting documents: 1 Legal Name Change Certificate,2 Valid Canadian Passport, 3 Valid Canadian Driver’s Licence, 4 Court Order, 5 Marriage Certificate (English, French, or certified English translation).
