Meet Your Valedictorian
Lily Robbins is a graduating student in the Respiratory Therapy program and served as President of the Michener Student Council.
During her time at Michener, she was dedicated to enhancing the student experience across programs through initiatives focused on wellness, engagement, and community-building. Known for her collaborative and inclusive leadership style, Lily worked to foster a supportive and connected student environment.
As valedictorian, she is honoured to represent the graduating Class of 2026 as they move forward into their respective healthcare professions.
Honorary Diploma Recipient:
The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, PC, Ph.D
The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, PhD, a distinguished Canadian scientist and academic, and five-term Member of Parliament, is the recipient of Michener’s Honorary Diploma 2026.
Dr. Duncan served as Canada’s Minister of Science, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities and Deputy House Leader, chaired Canada’s inaugural Standing Committee on Science and Research, was an associate professor and research director and led an expedition to the Arctic to discover the cause of the 1918 Influenza.
With honour, Michener pays tribute to Kirsty Duncan.
