RSVP for Convocation

How do I RSVP for Convocation?

All graduates who wish to attend the Convocation Ceremony must rent their regalia and reserve guest tickets between April 13 and May 15.

These are two (2) separate steps and both must be complete by the May 15 deadline.

All graduates must rent their regalia from Harcourts, our authorised supplier, between April 13 and May 15.

A link to the Harcourts site will be provided via email in early April and you will need your student number to access the site.

You will get a confirmation number from Harcourts — this number will be a required field during the ticket reservation process.

Unsure if you are eligible to graduate? Please rent your regalia regardless, refunds will be issued if you are deemed ineligible by the Registrar’s Office, but there will be no extension of the rental deadline.

Academic Regalia

  • All graduands participating in the Convocation ceremony must wear academic regalia.
  • Regalia includes a black gown and the appropriate stole, collar, or hood for your credential, rented through Michener’s approved supplier, Harcourts.
  • You may wear any clothing style (formal, business, uniform, traditional, or casual) underneath your gown.

Indigenous Traditional Regalia

  • In alignment with UHN’s anti-Indigenous racism strategy, Indigenous students are welcome to wear their traditional regalia in place of the black gown.
  • However, the official stole, collar, or hood corresponding to your earned credential must still be worn.

Regalia Additions

  • No additional items — permanent or temporary — may be added to your regalia.
  • This includes honour cords, non-Michener stoles, shawls, pins, or other adornments.

Unsure if you are eligible to graduate?

  • Rent your regalia and reserve guest tickets regardless. Refunds will be issued if the Registrar’s Office deem you ineligible, but there is no opportunity to rent regalia and reserve guest tickets after the deadline.
