Yes. If you are planning to attend the convocation ceremony, you must rent your regalia and reserve your seat by the deadline posted (current TBD). Renting regalia and reserving seats are two (2) very separate steps, and both must be completed by the deadline.

If you are not attending the convocation ceremony you can obtain your credential by submitting the Credential Request Form to regoffice@michener.ca. Please note you are not required to inform us of your decision to not attend.
Credentials are available for pick up or mail out only after convocation and are only retained for 1 year. After 1 year, graduates wanting their credential will need to submit a Credential Replacement Form to obtain it.
All graduates planning to attend convocation must rent their regalia and reserve tickets. These are two (2) separate steps, and both must be completed by the May 15 deadline.
Step 1: How do I rent my regalia for convocation?
All graduates must rent their regalia from Harcourts, our authorised supplier, between April 13 and May 15.
Unsure if you are eligible to graduate? Please rent your regalia regardless, refunds will be issued if the Registrar’s Office deem you ineligible, but there is no opportunity to rent regalia after the deadline.
Step 2: How do I reserve my tickets for convocation?
All graduates must reserve their convocation tickets between April 13 and May 15.
Unsure if you are eligible to graduate? Please reserve your convocation tickets regardless, refunds will be issued if the Registrar’s Office deem you ineligible, but there is no opportunity to reserve tickets after the deadline.
Tickets must be collected at Meridian Hall on Saturday, June 15.
All graduates may request a maximum of six (6) guest tickets*. This ensures that our ceremonies remain within the venue’s fire safety and capacity limits.
*The regalia rental fee includes up to two (2) guest tickets and additional guest tickets [up to four (4)] are available at a price of $20.00 each. We anticipate a second round of tickets becoming available in late May.
**2025 volunteers will get two (2) of the eight (8) tickets at no charge
No. Graduates will receive a confirmation email to be shown to gain access to the venue.
Follow these steps if you want to invite a family member from overseas to convocation:
- Write a Letter of Invitation:
You must write the invitation yourself, and it must be in English. The letter may need to be notarized depending on the requirements of the visa office your family member applies to. - You may wish to request Confirmation of Enrolment or Confirmation of Program Completion from the Registrar’s Office as additional documentation.
- Send the documents to your invited family member. They must include the invitation letter with their TRV application to their local visa office.
See more information on how to write an invitation letter on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
