Advanced Foot & Orthotic Clinic in Midland, Ontario is currently seeking a FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME REGISTERED CHIROPODIST. All Chiropodists and Podiatrists (including new graduates) are welcome to apply! Our growing clinic requires an individual that provides high quality Chiropody care with the utmost attention to customer service. Duties
• Chiropodist will take on existing patient load and build own
• Perform full scope of practice according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
• Communication with other local health care professionals
• Conduct comprehensive chiropody services including foot assessments and diagnoses to identify foot conditions and abnormalities
• Provide treatment and management plans for various foot conditions, including corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, fungal infections, diabetic foot care, wound management and foot deformities
• Perform minor surgical procedures, such as nail avulsions
• Educate patients on proper foot care practices, preventive measures, and suitable footwear choices
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Chiropody and attend professional development opportunities
• Deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the clinic’s success. This includes treating scheduled patients, enhancing retention, and effectively communicating management plans
Requirements
• Registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
• Current Professional Liability Insurance in keeping with the College’s Standards
• Trained in nail surgeries, custom foot orthotics, stockings, footwear and bracing
• Able to work independently in a private clinical setting
• Ethical with a focus on patient care
• Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, biomechanics, and common foot conditions.
• Proficiency in conducting foot assessments, diagnosing foot conditions, and developing treatment plans
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively explain diagnoses, treatment options, and foot care instructions to patients
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
• Dedication to continuing education and staying updated with the latest industry trends.

Remuneration of 50% of client fees collected for chiropody care. Orthotics to be discussed.

Within this ‘North Simcoe’ area, is a population of nearly 52,000 people and growing steadily with nearly 30% of the population over the age 65. North Simcoe has a higher percentage in all age categories from 50 years plus compared to the overall Provincial population. These demographics result in a local community that is in need of chiropody services.
Advanced Foot and Orthotic Clinic has been in operation for over 20 years and was the first, and still only, full-time Chiropody clinic in the North Simcoe area. It has shown continued growth over the years and continues for a Chiropodist to build an great patient base at this clinic.
The clinic is currently serviced by two Chiropodists, with a third Chiropodist needed to meet demand.
