Duties

Northumberland Family Health Team (NFHT) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Chiropodist to work as part of our Footcare team. Together with an RPN Footcare Nurse, the program focuses on providing foot care to those at highest risk for debility or pain and requiring assistance with maintenance of overall foot health, prevention of complications such as wounds or infections, and treatment of pathological conditions of the foot. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing high quality patient-centered footcare, is well organized and can work both independently and in a team environment. The Chiropodist is encouraged to practice within their full scope of practice in the provision of services, including active treatment of acute conditions and surgical procedures. This position comes with paid vacation, benefits (if working at least 2.5 days per week) and an opportunity to enrol in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).

Requirements

Bachelor of Science and/or Graduate of an accredited school of Chiropody

Current and valid license with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario

Current Ontario Drivers’ License, access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel

Experience with clinical electronic medical record/scheduler an asset

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interprofessional environment
