Duties
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Chiropodist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. As a Chiropodist, you will provide specialized foot care and treatment to patients in a clinic setting. Your expertise in foot and ankle conditions will be crucial in diagnosing and managing various foot-related ailments. If you are passionate about patient care and have a strong background in podiatry, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot conditions, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Prescribe orthotics, braces, or other devices to alleviate foot pain or correct deformities
- Educate patients on proper foot care techniques and preventive measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (JaneApp)
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in podiatry through continuous professional development and research
Requirements
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Podiatry or related field
- Valid license to practice as a Chiropodist in the province of Ontario
- Proven experience working in a clinic or acute care setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and data collection
- Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, biomechanics, and common foot conditions
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
