Duties
Under the general supervision of the Radiologists, Charge Sonographer, Senior Sonographer &/or Manager, the Sonographer utilizes ultrasound equipment to produce high quality sonographic images required to complete the examinations requested.
Requirements
Successful completion of a recognized Ultrasound program.
Current registration with the C.M.R.I.T.O. required.
Current registration with Sonography Canada and insurance coverage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound setting.
Proficiency in the production and assessment of diagnostic ultrasound images.
Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to ultrasound imaging.
Significant experience in abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, neuro, and interventional ultrasound procedures.
Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills capable of working independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion, and professionalism in order to provide quality patient-centered care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.
