Full time Ultrasound Technologist

Duties
· Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in General Ultrasound, WBUS, BI, ER ND Department and or in the OR as required, including evening, nights, weekends and call shifts
· Performs and troubleshoots required care and maintenance of ultrasound and medical imaging equipment as required to ensure they are performing in a effective and manner.
· Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obs/gyn, small parts, breast, MSK, neurodoppler, vascular, and u/s guided procedures including CEUS
· Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required.
· Prepare and Maintains adequate written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results according to departmental policy and procedures
· Collaborates and participate in teaching, research, educational, safety and quality improvement programs.
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
• CMRITO Registration in the speciality of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• ARDMS RVT qualification preferred
• Minimum 3 years recent ultrasound technologist experience in a similar/related setting required
• Ability to work a variety of shifts and on call rotation
• Excellent organizational skills, able to organize and prioritize work.
• Proven time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and also at times independently.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making, problem recognition and problem solving skills
