Manager, Medical Imaging #307-21
Reporting to the Corporate Director, Medical Imaging and Cardiology, the Manager of Medical Imaging will oversee the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of high quality healthcare services. The position is responsible for the divisions of Mammography, OBSP, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, Radiology, BMD, Clerical, PSAs, and PACS. With large reporting groups and complex clinical programs to oversee, this high profile role will lead by example and drive change and efficiency.
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
-University degree in one of the following disciplines: Radiology, Ultrasound, Cardiology, MRI or Nuclear Medicine; or equivalent experience
-Ontario Hospital Association Diploma in Healthcare Management, or equivalent
-Minimum five (5) years clinical experience as a Registered Technologist in the following disciplines: Radiology, Ultrasound, Cardiology, MRI or Nuclear Medicine
-Recent management experience preferably in a unionized, multi-site environment
-Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team in a healthcare environment
-Knowledge of computers, including Hospital Information System, MS Office and PACS
-Good knowledge of working in a union environment
-Experience in change management and ability to lead through transition
-Excellent leadership, effective problem solving, decision making and organizational skills
-Ability to prioritize and manage time and resources
-Excellent interpersonal, communication and staff development skills
-Commitment to continuing professional development and continuing education
-Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, physicians, clinical staff, support staff and senior management
-Available for regular assignment of Hospital Administrator on-call responsibilities (assigned on a rotating basis to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays)
-Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
-Knowledge of and adherence to GBHS CARE (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and LEAD (Lead by Example, Empower, Achieve Results, Develop Others) behaviours
-Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at GBHS through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes
-Masters Degree in health and/or business
-CAMRT, CMRITO, OAMRS certified
-Advanced computer skills
