The Brant Community Healthcare System is a two site Community Hospital located in Brantford (Brantford General Hospital) and Paris, Ontario (The Willett- Urgent Care and Transitional Care).The Brantford General is an acute care hospital (one hour from Toronto, London, and Niagara Region) with a state of the art Diagnostic Imaging Department. Duties
Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services you will be responsible for ensuring high quality patient focused care through accurate and timely laboratory analysis.
Requirements
Active CMLTO Certificate including Microbiology.
Understands the principles and has the ability to perform analytical techniques on microbiology specimens using established protocols.
Minimum of 5 years Microbiology experience preferred.
Personal attributes - self-starter who has the ability to work well with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced medical setting. Highly developed organization skills and the ability to multitask.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills with technologists and other professionals in the workplace.
Experience with a laboratory information system to include accurate and efficient data entry skills. Other computer experience, ie. Microsoft Office an asset.
