Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH), a 38-bed healthcare facility located in Trent Hills, serves approximately 40,000 residents across Northumberland, Peterborough, and Hastings Counties. Duties
Primary Duties
Performs investigative procedures through detailed analysis, assay and examination of specimens
Performs testing within the disciplines of Chemistry; Transfusion Medicine; Haematology; Microbiology;
Specimen Collection and Cardiac Testing
Practices in accordance with the provincial regulations set out by the College of Medical Laboratory
Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO); hospital policy and procedures
Is knowledgeable of, and follows the quality management processes
Reports quality issues to technical director and senior MLT responsible for quality management
Supports and actively participates in quality improvement activities to facilitate change in the
workplace
Assures that critical results are communicated to the appropriate individuals in a timely manner
Assesses and prioritizes workload
Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
New grads welcome
Two years of experience as a Medical Laboratory in a hospital setting preferred
Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) registration
Current CMLTO license
Skills & Abilities
Possesses and continually acquires knowledge relevant to the profession
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills, Epic and Microsoft office an asset
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, staff and physicians

Campbellford Memorial Hospital is part of the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN). Eligible nurses hired by CMH could qualify for up to $25,000 in grants.
