About the Medical Imaging DepartmentMount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department provides a state-of-the-art environment for leading edge clinical practice, teaching, and research programs in Radiography. An international leader in medical imaging, we conduct a large volume of various types of Radiography exams for patient populations from the Emergency department to Outpatients and Inpatients.

Duties

In this role you will:
> Perform medical imaging procedures
> Operate, troubleshoot and ensure medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
> Prepare written and electronic reports required documenting all procedures and test results
> Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
> Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
> Perform cross-functional/site responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Mandatory:
> Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program, or recognized equivalent
>> Consideration for hire may also be given to applicants currently enrolled in an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program – as a condition of hire the Radiological Technology program must be successfully completed within six (6) months of hire
> Certificate of registration in the specialty of Radiography from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
> Current Registration with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
> Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification

Preferred:
> Level 2 and 3 CT
Membership with the CAMRT

Skills and Knowledge
> Ability to perform peripheral IV insertions
> Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
> Ability to multi-task and work effectively as a team member and work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment

Hours

37.5 hours per week; rotating 13 hour shifts, including every other weekend
