Medical Radiation Technologist – Nuclear Medicine PDF

Duties
Reporting to the Manager Diagnostic Imaging/ Electro Diagnostic Services, the Medical Radiation Technologist’s (MRT) key responsibilities include performing all types of Nuclear Medicine studies relating to cardiology and general nuclear medicine using a variety of equipment including tomographic cameras, uptake probe and well counter, and ECG with treadmill. Other responsibilities include ensuring quality assurance as it relates to image quality, examination results, and documentation as required by the CNSC license.
Requirements
Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in NM
Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, NM section, and the Health Professionals Act
Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists or eligible for registration
Current CPR certification
Knowledge of current CNSC regulations
Proficient in the use of tomographic cameras, uptake probe and well counter, ECG with treadmill
Proficient in the use of MS Office software.
Ability to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team.
Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff
Respect and maintain confidentiality
Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
