Duties
The Role:
Medcan is recruiting for a Full-time Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our growing high-performance clinical team. We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude. The role is accountable for the effective delivery of x-ray and bone density exams for clients during their Annual Health Assessment and other services at Medcan. This role will also assist with facilitating the flow of patients through the Clinic and coordinating with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service.
This is a full-time position working 40hrs per week based on clinic needs between regular office hours Monday - Saturday.
Our Downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St. (York and Adelaide) which is nearby St. Andrew and King subway stations or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!
What You'll Do:
Patient preparation for and performance of x-rays and bone density scans following the required guidelines for the procedures
Record and process patient data
Operate and maintain equipment, and perform basic quality control checks
Update, file and maintain client information
Review of previous reports and discussion with physicians and radiologists
Prepare for the next day's client list by checking for previous exams
Assist the clinic with other duties as appropriate
Requirements
What You'll Need:
Member of CMRITO
X-ray experience
Superior organization and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Word and Outlook
We are willing to consider MRTs who are open to training in Mammography technology.
