Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Department: Diagnostic Imaging - Nuclear Medicine

Status: Permanent Part-time (must provide availability of up to a 0.5 FTE)

Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts (7am-3pm, 7:30am-3:30pm, 8am-4pm, 8:30am-4:30pm, 9am-5pm). Hours are subject to change based on operational requirements

This is what you'll be doing:

Technologists in our department are registered with the CMRITO. A wide variety of exams are performed including cardiac and general imaging; MPIs, MUGAs, Bone, Brain, RBC Liver, SC Liver, Hepatobiliary, Gastric Emptying, Renal, WBCs, Sentinel Node Breast, both inpatient and outpatient thyroid ablative treatments are provided. We are team focused, conscientious and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Currently we operate 6 GE cameras- 2 Discovery NM/CT 670 (16 slice CT), Discovery NM/CT 640 (4 slice CT), Brivo NM 615 (single head) , Discovery NM 530c (Solid State) and Ventri. The ideal candidate is strong in attention to detail in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require an individual who is a strong communicator, interacts with co-workers and clients with care and respect and has the ability to foster a work environment that focuses on teamwork.

Requirements

The successful incumbent will provide safe, evidence-informed quality care to an acute medical and surgical patient population by combining interpersonal communication with clinical knowledge and skills.

Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
Registered and in good standing with the C.M.R.I.T.O.(Students writing their CAMRT exam in May 2024 are welcome to apply)
TDG training within the last 3 years
Current BCLS required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
Proven ability to work well as a member on a multidisciplinary team.
Committed to customer service and teamwork.
Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
Availability to take on extra shifts as required to cover vacations/sick leave etc.
