Duties

Here's What You'll Get To Do:

Design & Project Development: Work with the project team to develop the consultation service model (such as mapping out intake criteria and mechanics of consultation service)
Provide virtual consultation to health care practitioners working with youth aged 12-25 in a variety of settings through an online referral and booking system
Collaborate with local partners developing a clinical practice model and participate in knowledge exchange activities.
Contribute as a member of the Substance Use Program in the Division of Adolescent Medicine and clinical consultations within the hospital.
Collaborate with colleagues across the hospital to build capacity for substance use care through dissemination of best practices and evidence informed care.
Develop relationships with various organizations who see youth and/or provide youth addiction services in the GTA
Liaise with community partners and promote engagement across the sector.
Participate in the development, delivery and evaluation of education around evidence informed approaches to working with youth with substance use and substance use disorders.

Requirements

Master of Nursing or equivalent with a clinical focus.
Completion of a Nurse Practitioner certificate.
Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, within the RN (Extended Class).
Completion of education required by the College of Nurses of Ontario on prescribing controlled substances.
