Duties
Under the general supervision of the Radiologists, Charge Sonographer, Senior Sonographer &/or Manager, the Sonographer utilizes ultrasound equipment to produce high quality sonographic images required to complete the examinations requested.
Requirements
Successful completion of a recognized Ultrasound program
Current member with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in good standing
Current registration with Sonography Canada and insurance coverage
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound setting
Proficiency in the production and assessment of diagnostic ultrasound images
Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to ultrasound imaging
Significant experience in abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, neuro, and interventional ultrasound procedures
Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills capable of working independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion, and professionalism in order to provide quality patient-centered care
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire

Hours
This is NOT a casual part-time role, it requires a minimum of 2 to 3 days per week, and may include occasional Saturday's.
Salary
Pay Rate: $37-$40/hour depending on experience
