Duties
Accession and accept patients and documents for Phlebotomy
• Maintain lab protocols as instructed.
• Draw and label patient blood for required testing using appropriate tubes
• Proficiency in the use of specific instruments including VITROS 3600, and ECI 300
• Knowledge in applying these instruments for the quantitation of sex hormones, LH, FSH, Progesterone, Estriadiol.
• Specific understanding of the “two cell rule” and how it relates to both gender hormonal quantitation for IVF and ICSI cycles.
• Maintaining strict rules on labelling and requisition and billing
• Able to send out blood for tests not performed on site.
• Treat patient with respect and dignity
Requirements
1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technologist
2. Certificate in Phlebotomy
3. 1-2 years of experience in Phlebotomy or Lab technology
4. Self-starter
5. Able to work in a team
